I will attend WordCamp Fayetteville this weekend, and I am super excited!
There are more reasons than just attending the premier regional conference on my website platform of choice. I also am spending two nights out of town, something I haven’t done in many years. Last year, I visited Dallas-Fort Worth a couple of times, but it was only for one night.
I am hoping to learn a lot!
I am a WordPress website designer, but I am hoping that this is the beginning of becoming a WordPress website developer.
In addition, I get to meet other WordPress fans from all over the state. The twitter hashtag #wcfay is how we will keep up this weekend, and many have already began the conversation.
I do know a few people who are going including Cotton Rohrscheib (@cottonr), Cyndi Minister (@TheTwistedPurl) of The Twisted Purl and Nick Brewer (@brewern).
This conference will make me even better at what I do.
So, bear with me this weekend. I will be away, learning.
I do plan on seeing the Crystal Bridges on Friday morning. WordCamp will also visit the Iceberg for a pre Meetup and Afterparty. The Iceberg is a co-working space that is used by several Fayetteville workers as well as the ARK Challenge startup accelerator program.
