I am privileged to be a part of a new project called the AR Scene. I am excited about highlighting the best of Arkansas in entertainment, sports and technology.
I am pleased to have join me Wyvonne “Wy” Hawkins, a talented dedicated business entrepreneur here in Conway. Wy is involved in such projects as photography, videography, entertainment management and more. She is a tireless worker.
We launched, quietly, the website in February. We have featured a couple of Arkansas films, technology conferences and sports stories including information about Philander Smith College’s historic run to the NAIA National basketball tournament.
We have more stories on the agenda. Currently we are working on stories about two more rising country music stars from Arkansas, technology based entrepreneurs and a book about a local Arkansas community.
Further, we are recruiting writers. I am so thankful for those who have come along with Wy and myself. Aaron Riley is a featured entertainment writer and Hannah Zimmerman is one of photographers. We also have the talented Elizabeth Warren to help with our graphic production. We are working on bringing a couple of other writers on board.
In addition, we have been blessed to have two stories submitted to us from a couple of Arkansas bright technology specialists, Luke Irvin and James Climer.
We are anticipating a story from another young, bright technology star in Arkansas.
Finally, we have already began collecting video content which will be launched soon. Wy, Hannah, Elizabeth and I were all at BarCamp Conway. Wy was able to get some video interviews with the guys from moxyox, ARK Challenge Executive Director Jeannette Balleza, Drew Spurgers and more.
